各位領導先進: 大家好！
The in-club (in-house) Humorous and Evaluation Contests are running
among our clubs. Hoping every contest will have a smooth result.
目前有許多分會正在進行幽默演講比賽及講評演講比賽，盼望每一比賽都會有平順的結果。
May I have some sweet reminders for the contest rules since many
questions have come out from our members.
因為有會友提出若干問題，故容我作下列幾點善意的提醒，如有不同的見解亦請提出來討論。

Toastmasters International has 5 different contests:
international, evaluation,
humorous, table topics
and tall tales
speech contests. International speech
contest will be held at regional and international level.
Other 4 speech contests will be held at District
level only. There is no "prepared speech contest".
So, even in in-club to District level contest event, we need to use the formal name as "International speech contest" .The reason is that the contest will be ended at International level.
國際演講會有五種演講比賽：即國際、講評、幽默、即席及吹牛演講比賽。只有國際演講比賽會延續到在區域及國際階段，而其他四種比賽只到地區總會為止。此外，並沒有所謂的“準備或備稿”演講比賽。因此，從會內到地區總會的比賽應該正名為“國際演講比賽”。其理由是這個比賽是最後要參加世界級的國際性比賽。 |

The champion contestant at the last level of contest will be
ineligible to compete again at any level. So , the 1st place winner
in International speech contest at
District level will
have opportunity to compete again in Club to District level. Other 3
champion winners of
speech contests can't compete again in any level contest.
最後層級的比賽冠軍選手，不能再參加以後任何層級的比賽。因此，只在地區總會比賽得第一名，而世界比賽未獲得冠軍的選手，仍可再繼續參加比賽。而其他三種比賽的第一名選手，最後層級為地區總會比賽，因此，則無法再參加該類任何階段的比賽了。 |

According to the rule, immediate past District Governor can't not
join the contest at any level. Other immediate past District
officers (Area and Division Governors) can join the contest. ( See
the International speech contest rule: 4-B -- "Ineligible to compete
in the contests" in 2008 edition)
根據比賽規則，剛卸任的地區總會長不可以參加今年度的任何階段之比賽，而其他的地區會幹部（即區與部總監）則可以參賽。(參照國際演講比賽規則
2008年版4--B條）

An individual may not be a judge at any level for a contest in which
they are still competing. (Also in rule 4-B)
任何參賽者，均不能担任該階段的比賽之裁判。（如規則
4--B 條）

| 5. |
For fair competition, any test speaker (not target speaker) can't be
assigned for other contest's test speaker.
為公平競賽起見，任何測試演講員(不稱為標的演講員）不能受邀担任其他場次的測試演講員。

At any contest, only contest chairman can be counted as chair role
for new CL requirement. Other Toastmasters
(included Contest master) involved in the contest activity will be
counted as assistant or helper,
任何演講比賽中的角色，只有比賽主席可以達成新領導手冊的主席角色。其他參與籌劃比賽者，包括比賽主持人（幫助主席主持一段節目而己）只能符合協助者之角色。
