Master of Ceremonies, Judges, and fellow Toastmasters, When I joined Toastmasters, I had a DREAM that one day I, Thomas Chen, would become a DTM. And the first DTM in Taiwan, Distinguished Toastmaster Thomas Huang, always encouraged me "Never stop dreaming, little Thomas, GO for it! GO!" For this reason, it had pushed me forward to become a D-T-M today. Let me tell you how it happened.

One day a few years ago, I was driving my car up on Yangming Shan; it was raining cats and dogs. Suddenly, a BIG rock roll down in front of me, I was frightened and urgently stepped on the brakes (Ki----) But the road was so slippery that I totally lost control and smashed into a big tree.(Pon-------) AND I have no idea what happened after that. When I woke up, I found myself in a hospital with a beautiful charming nurse taking care of me. She gave me a warm smile and said "Thank Heavens, you are awake! When they brought you in, that big ugly dog in the corner came in with you and I can't get him to leave!" Without a second thought, I turned to the dog and said, "Hi, fella." The dog looked at me and said, "(Woof)Don't call me Fella; it's Super Hotdog, and because I saved your life, you are my MAN for ever and ever!" Astonished, I looked at the nurse and said " Miss, Miss, did you hear that? The d-d-..dog is talking, the dog is talking.!". But obviously the nurse had no idea what was going on. Super Hotdog said, "Calm down, little Thomas. She doesn't know my language, YOU are the only one who knows what I'm saying!" WOW!! I know DOG LANGUAGE!

Soon after we became very good friends, Super Hotdog followed me everywhere. Eventually, we attracted many, many dogs to join us, we meet regularly to learn from each other. One time, I gave a speech about the wonderful Toastmasters program, every dog was inspired and got very excited(Dogs barking.. Woof! Woof!..). Finally, we decided to establish the first DTM Club (Poster)- DOG Toastmasters club.

Now, we have thousands of DTM Clubs in the world. The mission of the DOG Toastmasters International is to train dogs to communicate better with their masters and neighbors, we also help stray dogs find a home and develop their skills of L-E-A-D.(Change to LEAD Poster and point one by one) - Living, - Eating, -Acting - and Dreaming.
