This is a true story, I would like to share with all Toastmasters.

K I S S is not a kiss zzz... K I S S is Keep It Simple Stupid. You will enjoy your life more.

Two weeks ago, I received a lucky coupon sent by a very famous organization. I followed the instruction on the envelop which said "Open it, NOW - big prize." I opened the letter and I found one lucky coupon, which wrote "Dear Lucky winner, congratulations, you are selected as the first prize winner of one million NT dollars. Firstly, pick up the prize personally in Kaohsiung within 48 hours form the time of receipt of the lucky coupon. Secondly, pay 15% of prize tax goes to the government through our organization."

I carefully checked the newspaper for the released news about this, legal accountant, attorney, and prizewinner witness. The results were all positive. It was confirmed that I was bale to get the first prize at NT$ 1,000,000. I was the lucky prizewinner I happily called me husband up at 4 o'clock in the early morning. At that time he was in Canada. I told him the good news. He answered with a big laughter "My sweet heart, again? Wake up! Do not be a dreamer, there will never be such a miracle. go back to sleep honey. be a good girl."  He did not believe me. I told my colleague with excitement about this, my colleague said, "be careful, it might be a trick or a set-up. It is very risky. " He gave me a piece of honest advice. He did not believe me. I spoke about this pleasantly, proudly to my brother, who happened to be a lawyer and asked him to accompany me to take the prize. He stopped me and yelled at me. "Are you out of your mind? There is no such free lunch." He did not believe me, No one believed me, no one would like to share my happiness, my good fortune.

There is only one in the world who is an old lady at her age of 71; she is simple and direct. She is my mother. When she heard my story. she felt so happy for me. She said: let's go to take the prize ... She is the only one who shared my happiness. We two discussed cheerfully how this trip would be, whom we should meet to get the prize, what exact time we will be in kaohsiung, ets. At the end of the day, we found out that it was a fraud,  it was s set-up, I looked at my mom sadly. And she said to me "I knew, I knew, There was no such good thing in the world, Money from the sky? Impossible! " We both took a trip to Yangminshan, and soaked ourselves in the hot spring. We had a good gathering probably, you might think how stupid I was to belive such a nonsense. I know many of you have received the same lucky coupon. you won't open it right away, you will murmur "trickery" and threw it into the trash can immediately. However because of the KISS - my philosophy of life Keep It Simple Stupid I experienced a wonderful, exciting, unforgettable happy 48 hours in my life.

For the past 48 hours, I planned how to make use of this un-expected large amount of money, should I go abroad? Should I buy a gold? should I spend it or should save it? Should I donate to T/M to become one of the most generous and famous members in the world, being invited to give speech in every club? I sense that I have a mother who loves me, and supports me so much. She gave me the chance to understand the real meaning of "Like mother like daughter." She shows me the real "support"

Ladies & Gentlemen, She --- the simple and short woman, she can not understand one single sentence of English, but ... she ... is  ... here ... to listen to my speech to show her support. I sense that I have a good husband, who id always so tolerant of what I have done. I sense that I have a being hurt.

Ladies & Gentlemen, Life is un-predictable, Life is full of un-certainty. You can never expect what will come to you the next. There is f famous word form forrest Gum, one of Oscar awarded movie. "Life is a box of chocolate, you'll never know what you gonna get." Let's treasure each second and every moment of our life and enjoy it with KISS.
