Brief of the
Discussion：
This is the 88th year of our organization since its
founding by Dr. Ralph Smedley. In Chinese numeralogy,
88 is a very auspicious number meaning double
prosperity. Organizations like people go through
life cycles with the its inevitable old age and
decline. Fortunately, organizations has the ability
to revitalize itself by adapting to the changing
environment.
The purpose of the panel is to help members of D67
understand the evolving dynamics of Toastmasters
International. For example, some of the changes in
the last 5 years are:
1.The Board is more strategically focused rather
than operational.
2.TI has become truly worldwide with eilimination of
DNAR (Districts Not Assigned to Regions ) and
incorpoating the districts outside of North America
into a global family of 14 districts.
3.Rebranding
4.Refocus on leadership with its new
tagline-Toastmasters: Where Leaders Are Made. |
