The Labor of Love
愛的勞力

This Fall conference is held in Tainan Labor center. Labor center? Why not 5-star hotel? Sometimes, it’s good to enjoy fine things in our life. Yet, most of the time, it’s even better if we can provide our “Labor of Love” to people in need.

今年的秋季大會在台南勞工中心舉行。勞工中心？為什麼不在五星級飯店？能夠有時享受生命中精緻的東西的確不錯，然而，大部分時候，如果我們能提供「愛的勞力」給需要的人，那將會讓生命更美好。

As parents, we all love to be our kids’ slaves. We take care of them days and nights without complaints. It’s a “Labor of Love”. They are our sweet burden.

為人父母者，我們都樂意成為孩子的奴隸。不惜日夜辛勞，無怨無悔地照顧他們，這是「愛的勞力」，他們是我們甜蜜的負擔。

The same in Toastmasters, there are so many great leaders who generously serve in our district. As you can see from your 7 club officers, why do they want to sacrifice their time, money and energy to take care of our members? Why do your Area Governors and Division Governors visit your clubs so frequently? Just because they want to make sure your clubs are in good condition and our members are happily enjoying quality meetings. “Labor of Love”.

在中華民國國際演講會中也是同樣的情形，有很多出色的領導者慷慨地為台灣總會努力奉獻著。您看到各分會的七位幹部，為什麼他們願意犧牲自己的時間、金錢和精力去照顧我們的會員？為什麼您的區總監和部總監常去拜訪所屬分會？因為他們希望確保分會狀況是良好的，以及會員們能快樂地享受高品質會議。「愛的勞力」。

You can also see DG Joy, LGET Eric and LGM Caroline being with you in many important occasions. We are running around island wide for trainings, meetings,  saving weak clubs and chartering new clubs. Past District Governors and all  committee members are also contributing a lot to our district’s development. I hope everyone can see how hard our leaders are trying to serve their best to our members and our district. Till now, we have 2,711 members and 5 new clubs had chartered, with more to come in the near future. We are going to successfully get our district back to distinguished status. We made it half way to success in four months. It’s all because of “Labor of Love”.  

你也能夠看到總會長嬌燕、教育副總會長守誠和推廣副總會長可芸在許多重要場合和您們在一起。我們在全台四處奔波於教育訓練、會議、拯救弱會和成立新會的各式各樣會議。前總會長們和所有委員會成員們和也對台灣總會的發展貢獻良多。我希望每個人都可以看到這些領導者是如何盡他們最大的力量來服務會員和總會。截至今日，我們有二千七百一十一位會員，已創立五個分會，在最近的將來，會有一些新會陸續成立，我們將會替台灣總會再次贏得傑出總會的榮銜，短短四個月，我們已成功一半。這得歸功於「愛的勞力」。

As we can see from our VIPs in this Fall conference. International President George Yen just came back from one month business trip, he is still so willing to serve as our keynote speaker because this is his home district. Mr. Dela LaMon, although he can’t see well, he has the brightest mind to see that D67 needs his inspirational speeches.

在秋季大會中，我們也從兩位重量級的貴賓身上發現此特質。國際演講會世界總會長顏瑛宗先生剛從為期一個月的國際演講會商務旅途歸國，因為這是他的故鄉總會，所他不辭辛勞，非常樂意擔任主講者。Dela LaMon先生雖然眼睛無法看清這世界，但他卻擁有最明亮的心靈，察覺到台灣需要他鼓舞人心的演講。

Further more, our Committee of 2013 Fall Conference had prepared such a great gathering for all of you to enjoy. Let’s enjoy our favorite humorous speech contest, evaluation contest, great trainings, dinner party with awards recognitions and socializing with your old friends.

此外，我們的秋季大會委員們都已為你們準備好了一場盛大的聚會。讓我們一起享受幽默演講比賽、講評比賽、豐富的訓練、頒獎儀式和與老朋友敘舊的晚宴。

All of these beautiful things can happen, just because of “Labor of Love”,!

所有這些美好的事，因為「愛的勞力」才能發生！
