Dear Charles:
I am so sorry to hear that our beloved Nancy Chang passed away.
My brain suddenly became a blank that I could not think out
the first name of Medical Dr.
Alexander
Liu( another Club sponsor of
Happy Life TMC) who owned a private clinic at Jen E Rd., keelung, then emigrated
to Canada. I also CC this letter to Joanne Chen to see if she
can fill in the blank of the first name of Dr. Liu and his Chinese
name.
Nancy Chang has been a great TM who has never absent for any
single Happy Life TMC regular meeting. She has never been an
high-up in TMs organization. Still, she postponed her nose/throat
cancer operation in order to deliver her final speech at Happy
Life TMC. She invited me to be her individual evaluator for her
last speech. Many of her families show up and we all are her
families. I presented her the D67 banner , TM cap from HQs, and TM
sports shirt. She has delivered a real good message for us TMs to
learn. Those photos were taken when she delivered her last speech and what I
wrote to Nancy Chang were displayed on last year's D67 website.
Unfortunately it has been deleted. If you can find those
photos and that paragraph , please email them to me. I will make my
best to write a short condolence on Spring Convention Book if
Sally Wu and Frank Lu, TY Hao agree to accept that short
condolence article.

Chang passed away last Friday morning after 17 years fighting with
cancer. Joanne, Maggie, May, Kaino (NTOU) and myself visited her
house at Pey-Der road to extend our condolence last Sunday. Here

On
January 3, 2003, the Immediate Past District Governor of
D67P, Toastmasters in Taiwan, and Club Sponsor, Distinguished
Toastmaster ( DTM ) Bing Bing Lin, presented a District banner and
Toastmasters T-Shirt and hat to congratulate Competent Toastmaster
(CTM ) Nancy Chang of Happy Life Toastmasters Club in Keelung,
Taiwan. Nancy has 100% attendance since the inception of this
non-profit educational club 6 years ago even though she has been
fighting against her throat cancer. Recently she suffered the
relapse and was advised to receive another surgery. She was afraid
that she might lose her voice again before she could complete her
10 advanced speeches to become an Able Toastmaster ( ATM ) . The
overwhelmed love and concern from her fellow TMs has encouraged
her to make her every endeavor to deliverer her advance #6
entertaining speech which she has regarded as a possible final
speech in her life. We sincerely wish Nancy all the best wishes!
