北京英語演講會 需要您的支援 |
I am writing to you to
inform you of the formation of a new Toastmasters club in Beijing; and
to ask for any help/support that you may be able to offer in improving
and strengthening our club.
Beijing #1 was originally
set up in early 2000, but had to be suspended half a year later for
political reasons. It has now been re-established (as of November
2002), and we are currently going through the chartering process.
Our club is a very active
one, and growing very quickly; we are already almost ready to split and
form a new club. However, we are severely lacking in experience
and training. Very few of our members have previous Toastmasters
experience, and only two have experience of clubs outside of China.
We have a leadership which is very committed and motivated, but lacks
much of the basic training and information which is routinely available
to Toastmasters clubs in other countries.
We are therefore contacting
our brothers and sisters in Taiwan to let them know of our club's
situation, and to ask for your help/support. First, it would be of
great benefit if you could let everyone in your district know about our
club; and second, encourage anyone who will be visiting Beijing to let
us know in advance, so that they can at least attend our meetings...and
preferably, so that they can provide training, particularly to our
Executive Committee.
All
responses/inquiries/suggestions can be sent to
bjexec@in-the-gap.com;
and you can see more info about our club at our website,
www.in-the-gap.com/toastmasters.
Thank you very much for
your time, consideration, and help!
Regards,
John Lombard
