Dear Fellow Members,
Happy Dragon Year! May you all have a
smooth and prosperous year ahead!
At the beginning of a new year, what is
your plan for the holiday? What New Year resolution do you
have? What is your new goal you set for 2012? Whatever they
may be, my best wishes to all of you!
The 2011-2012 Toastmasters Year is half
past, it is also time for us to reflect on our performance.
I’d like to suggest you to take out your Club/Area/Division
Success Plan and review. Cheer for what you have achieved,
and work harder on what needs to be accomplished.
Here I’d like to make some announcements. |

According to Speech Contest Rules, we are going to have two
separate Run-Off competitions for International Speech Contest
in Saturday Morning of the coming Spring Conference. Division
winners will be randomly divided into two groups to compete in
the run-off competitions. Three highest-placed available
contestants from each run-off competition will then advance to
the district contest in Sunday afternoon of the Spring
Conference. Detailed information will be sent to Division
Governors soon. |

The District has
appointed Mike Yang, IPDG, to be the Chairperson of the
2012-2013 District Officers Nomination Committee. Each division
will have one representative to serve as the committee member.
Mike will send out invitation letter to all Division Governors
soon in regards of this issue.

The District has
appointed Dick Fu, 2005-2006 District Governor, to be the
Chairperson of Realignment Committee. All Division Governors
are committee members. Dick Fu will send out letter to
invite input from all Division Governors soon. |

District 67 is pleased
to have the privilege to sponsor the Rotary Club of Taipei 2012
English Speech Contest on March 17. I’d like to appoint Mike
Yang, IPDG, to serve as the coordinator between Rotary Club of
Taipei and District 67. |

| 6. |
There will be a Mid-Year
Training for District Officers. We are going to share what we
have learned from the Mid-Year Training in India on Jan. 6-7
held by Toastmasters International with all district officers.
Tentative date and place for this training is Feb. 26 in Taipei.
Detailed information will be sent to District officers soon.
Please mark the date and reserve the time for the Mid-Year
Training. |

The year just
started, yet it seems that there are so many things going on
now. Life is busy, life is beautiful. Let’s learn and grow
together, and let’s “Move One Step Forward” together in
Toastmasters journey and in personal life! |
